Thirsty Thursday, and the rest of the weekend

*This is for my 21 and over crowd or 18 and over in different countries*

Since turning 21 I have learned few things about the best spots to drink in my area, best drinks, and what not to do!

These are some of my favorite spots in the LA/Ventura County area for good drinks, food, and overall fun times with your friends. From margaritas to girlie drinks to good ole beer, the next few spots are sure to fit the bill on Thursday night.

Margaritas are refreshing and have a festive feel to them, however, tequila is not my choice alcohol and so I am picky about these Mexican treats.

For my 818 crowd and conejo valley people I highly recommend Los Toros in Chatsworth. It's most famous for their bean dip, which is incredible! If you are vegan like myself or vegetarian, note to ask for the dip with NO chorizo. About a year ago I started coming here with some friends after work and fell in love with the popular spot. Their margaritas are strong which are great if you are not a big drinker, and if you have a large group of friends definitely get the pitcher size and enjoy! The restaurant itself is pretty large, two patio settings, one large room with booths and two bars, one of which has lots of tv's and tall tables perfect for happy hour or the big game.
They are located at 21743 Devonshire St  Chatsworth, CA 91311

Ventura, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Oxnard people this one is especially for you guys!
I recently started coming to El Pascador with my mom on a suggestion from one of her local friends and seems to be very popular and is always busy. There is a large outdoor covered area for banquets or large receptions and the inside is large too with booths and tables sprawling over the large floor plan. They have a decent size bar but no chairs around it, maybe I haven't been going at the right time? The ambiance feels like a place to have a great meal with friends or family and some bomb drinks. Their margaritas are so incredible! Lots of flavor and they use 100% agave tequila in every drink that you doesn't have an overwhelming taste to them, but certainly packs a good punch. My mom ordered a cucumber margarita that she said was the business, I however, don't care for them too much haha but it was fresh!

They are located on highway 126 at 1305 W. Ventura St. Fillmore CA 93015

The next two are for my favorite type of alcohol; vodka! It is really versatile and can be used in a number of different drinks.

I know its such a girlie and simple drink, but one of my most favorite go to drinks would hands down be peach ciroc and cranberry. Simple, refreshing, and light. Perfect for those nights at to sip while at the club or after work drinks with your coworkers, not to mention easy on the waistline.

This next place is in good old Downtown Los Angeles and came across it during the Motormaves Christmas party last year.
Chynna Dim Sum Lounge at first struck me as a typical dim sum joint where you and all your friends get up early Sunday morning and bring your bilingual speaking friends to order the yummy finger foods for brunch. This place is anything like that. Great layout, tables are somewhat private, and awesome bar with bartenders that know how to make a drink quickly and properly. Best part is, they serve obviously dim sum and other Chinese food long into the night to help absorb all your alcohol. Great place to come and hang out if you're a local or from a reasonable distance away.

The best part of LA is the fact that there are many types of cultures and people mixed together in one dope combination. As for me, I LOVE Asian food and used to drop everything for some bomb Korean Bbq in Ktown (Korea Town). Although the alcohol isn't vodka, soju is the Korean way of getting down and the Hangover is an amazing spot to drink and just have an amazing time with your friends. Best thing to do always is get food in your belly before hand, so I suggest hitting up the "happy pig"spot (Hae Jang Chon) on 6th street, but call ahead for a table, they're always super busy and about an hour wait of you just walk up weekend evenings. From what I remember and what my friend always reminds me, this spot is pretty amazing when it comes to Kbbq.
While waiting for your table, pregame two doors down at the coolest lounge you can actually smoke in. I keep forgetting the name of the place but it's two doors down and serve really good soju.

Although I joke about Ventura County, there is one spot that is perfect for when you're feeling extra fancy, Cafe Fierenze in Moorpark. Top Chef winner Fabio Viviani is on of the owners and has turned the old Baducco's restaurant into and ultra chic spot for drinks or romantic dinner. The one downside I have to mention and only because it has happened more than once is the the hostesses are snobby little high school chicks with an attitude, so heads up, maybe they finally were fired and hired a little more mature staff. The bar is super fancy and comes with bomb bread and marinara sauce, bit small, but worth it. My favorite drink from there is their avocado martini, sounds weird, looks like goo, but it is AMAZING. Think of it as a spiked jamba juice, the avocado only adds a creamy texture to the drink, but other than that it is citrus-y and finished with orange sugar around the rim.
